The State of the Engineer 2006

        The "EE Times 2006 State of the Engineer Survey" is based on results from an online survey conducted by Beacon Technology Partners LLC and completed by 2,089 subscribers to EE Times and TechOnline in the United States, Europe and India from July 12-24, and on a survey conducted in Japan by E2 Publishing Corp., publisher of EE Times Japan, and completed by 1,421 subscribers. A total of 1,778 usable responses came from the United States, where the survey has a margin of error of ±2.3 percent; 210 usable responses came from India, where the survey's margin of error is ±6.5 percent; and 101 usable responses came from Europe, where the survey's margin of error is ±9.3 percent.
